ICL`s next Twenty20 tournament in October

Mumbai, Aug 02: The Indian Cricket League's second innings of 20-20 will start in October 2008, ICL's executive board member Kiran More announced on Saturday in a press conference.

On being questioned about the success of the ICL and its competition with the lucrative India Premier League, Kiran More said that it was baseless to raise a finger questioning the success of ICL as it was a huge success organising three big tournaments in 2007.

He also added that there were players from almost every international team featuring in the Indian Cricket League tournament and that it has been a success since it was launched.

He said that he was hoping for a bigger draw this season and that the Indian Cricket League will have eight to nine more grounds for the matches and that would be a big boost for the Essel Group backed League.
