Tigers give in to Badshahs yet again, this time in semi-final!

Date : 3rd April
Place : Chandigarh

The not-yet-defeated team in the Edelweiss Challenge of the Indian Cricket League, the Lahore Badshahs have yet again proved their mettle against the team of Kolkata Team which are not weak themselves. The victory was by just 7 runs and in cricket, every run matters a lot. However Lance Klusner from Kolkata Tigers was awarded the Man of the Match for his outstanding and superb performance that he displayed in the match.

The toss was won by the Lahore Badshahs who chose to bat first. Imran Farhat, one of the openers went off at zero runs however the other, Imran Nazir managed to hold on for 42 runs off 35 balls. Humayun Farhat along with him made a good 39 runs off 24 balls. Raza however disappointed with no runs after his last match. Haq, Latif and Mahmood supported the team score by making 33, 27 and 24 runs respectively. The total score that they could manage to put on board was 182 runs.

The Kolkata Tigers struck back to the Lahore Badshahs with Dasgupta and Klusner to open the strike. Dasgupta could survive for just a score of 22 runs meanwhile Klusner went on with his hitting spree. Singh came in with him on the strike and made 19 runs before giving way to McMillan. The Captain could however manage just 1 run and was out. Gavaskar then came in with Klusner who was still fighting for his side. Gavaskar remained not out when the match ended with his 23 runs but Klusner made a wonderful 91 runs off just 57 balls when he was dismissed on the last ball of the innings. The team fell short of just 7 runs and lost the match to the Lahore Badshahs.
