| Lahore Badshahs prove their metal over Hyderabad Heroes!
With a game of complete confidence on their batting line up and a great bowling attack, the team of Lahore Badshahs registered their first win in the fifth game against Hyderabad Heroes. The Badshahs have proved that they have the skill and competence and they play to win!
To begin the match with, a nice hard pitch which had seen a slight drizzle was available. The conditions favoured batting first for the team which won the toss. Hyderabad Heroes seemed to be lucky with the toss there and opted to bat first. With Maher and Anirudh out to open, the innings started but the Heroes seemed to struggle to hold their ground and settle on the pitch. They kept losing wickets constantly and the focus shifted on survival on the field rather than scoring runs. Only when Boje came in did it seem that it was not a one sided game. However the team managed to score just 86 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Then after the outstanding performance by the bowlers, the batsmen Imran Farhat and Imran Nazir came out to open their innings. Farhat couldn’t hold strike for long as he was sent back by Razzaq on just the third ball. After this wicket, stability came in the match as Humayun Farhat, the next man in supported Nazir in his well-placed shots and kept grabbing singles and rotating the strike. With a partnership of 86 runs, these two batsmen fared their team victorious against Hyderabad Heroes.
The outstanding performers, Nazir with his unbeaten 62 and Mahmood with his 5 wickets on 13 runs were both awarded the Man of the Match. The performance in this match has proved that Lahore Badshahs are strong contenders in the series and we can surely expect fireworks whenever they play next!
