| Badshahs Bag Another One, This time Against the Lions
The Badshahs who have put another one in their bag now have managed to defeat yet again the team of Chandigarh Lions which have one win and one defeat to their record in this leg of Indian Cricket League matches.
The toss was won by the Badshahs and they preferred to bat first on the two-pronged pitch. Imran Farhat and Imran Nazir opened batting for the team and also they have already proved their worth in the team in their earlier matches. Runs came in the form of singles, doubles and a few well-timed fours. However, full use of the power play was not seen to be made by these two. Nazir lost his wicket on the last ball of the power play with a score 51 for the team. We saw some beautiful sixes by Imran Farhat with Humayun supporting him and providing strike to the maximum but he got out in the mid of sixteenth over with a score of 94. Following batsmen came and did their best to put up the maximum score and innings ended at 188 runs.
Elliot and Vincent opened the innings for the Lions but both the openers got out on the second and the third ball which left the team slightly shaken. Manish Sharma and TP Singh managed to get runs for some overs and again wickets started to fall. Regular wickets and slower run rate got Lions finish the innings at 147 runs, which were 40 runs from winning.
Imran Farhat was announced Man of the Match for the 94 runs and the great shots that he played. Performance by Badshahs has been irrefutable by any team till now. The performance was superb and the team seems now to be invincible.
