| Azhar, Nazir shine in royal win by Lahore Badshahs
Game five of this season of ICL Twenty20 series saw a glorious win of the Lahore Badshahs over the Hyderabad Heroes. With superb performances credited to Azhar Mahmood who took 5 wickets for 13 runs only and Imran Nazir who scored an unbeaten 62, these two players were jointly awarded Man of the Match.
With a total score of an insufficient 86, the Hyderabad Heroes batted first. This was by choice as they had won the toss and opted to bat first. This must have been done to pressure on the other team but however, the plan went otherwise. With only two players, Razzaq who scored 10 runs and Boje who held strike till the end on 33, no other player from the Heroes team managed to reach double figures with their runs. Bowlers from the Badshahs team have done a wonderful job with their firings rounds delivered by all bowlers. They did not let the Heroes settle on the pitch for long.
The Badshahs came on the field with a target of 87 runs to win over the Heroes. A strong will and a confident batting line up were seen with the Badshahs. Even with the loss of an early wicket of Imran Farhat on the third ball, the other batsmen did not seem to falter once and with beautiful well-timed shots, Nazir gave a lot of blows to the Heroes team. The fielding side had some opportunities where they could benefit but they were not made us of. Humayun supported Nazir well and both led the team to a royal victory over the Hyderabad Heroes with a partnership of 86 runs. The score of 87 was achieved easily in less than 10 overs and left the Badshahs feeling completely overjoyed over their royal win over the Hyderabad Heroes.
